The hair is growing!

It has been a while since I last posted, so I've got quite a few pictures. Addie continues to grow...we weighed her last night and she was at 7 lb. 12.5 oz., so it won't be long before she's 8 lbs.! Her hair is also growing, as you will see below. She is a very happy baby for the most part, but changing constantly. She now has a "real" cry, which she is not afraid to use if she wants something or gets ignored at all. The lungs have definitely developed over the past month or so. She is also smiling more, especially right after she gets her belly full of milk. Her hands are still up all the time and she loves to kick her feet in the air.

Daddy is reading Addie a book, but she hasn't quite figured out that she is supposed to look at the book while he reads.
We recently put our hammock up and Addie loves to sleep in it with Daddy.
Addie has been having some gas issued and enjoys laying on her belly while she works on getting it out. Sometimes she falls asleep in that position...don't tell the doctor!
Here is the party in the back. Addie has enough hair to be putting barets and bows in it, but it is so thin that everything falls out!
Here she is in the sling again, which she still loves. Her hands had been folded together, but she stopped that as soon as we got the camera out.
Bathtime has become much more enjoyable for Addie recently. We found that she doesn't mind it so much when someone else is in the tub with her, so we have been doing that. She really likes to have as much of her body in the water as possible.
Here is Addie's hair when it's wet-it looks like she is mostly bald! That really shows just how thin it is.
Sprawled out on Daddy, taking a nap. Addie gets a little spoiled on the weekend when Daddy is around. He likes to hold her a lot and she definitely doesn't mind at all.
We tried putting Addie in her crib for a little bit this weekend to try to get her used to it. She has been sleeping in a bassinet in our room, but the time may be coming soon when she will get moved into her own room and her own crib. She looks like she's got shifty eyes here...who knows what she is up to!
Addie has really been trying to hold her head up quite a bit recently. She is able to hold it up for a little while, then drops it forward as if exhausted.

Mother's Day

Addie remembered Mother's Day and got me...A necklace with her name and birthstone on it!
Here is our Mother's Day picture. We took Addie to church for the first time, so this was her first time in a dress. It was a bit big, but still cute!

Addie got to meet another cousin, aunt, and uncle this weekend. Pictured here is her cousin Austin and Aunt Emily.

Austin was not very interested in Addie most of the time, but he got to know her a little bit.

Here us Uncle Jonathan putting Addie right to sleep.

1 Month old and still 2 days from the due date

Addie had her one month doctor's appointment this morning and officially weighs 6 lb. 4 oz. (3rd percentile) and is 20 inches long (10th percentile). Here are some pictures taken recently:

I got a sling to put Addie in and thought it would be for walks, but it turns out that she likes it so much that I use it way more often than that. Basically, if she is upset and won't stop crying, I put her in the sling and she calms right down (usually even falls asleep). Plus, I am able to still do things while she is in it, so that is an added bonus.

Our rose bush has really taken off this spring, so we thought we would take a picture with it while it was in full bloom.
Here is Addie thinking...what about? Who knows. Probably wondering when she gets to eat again.
Addie hanging out on her activity mat with her wrist rattle. We've got to get her used to soccer balls...even if she can't kick them yet.

This is Addie's favorite way to sleep-hands up. If we swaddle her with her hands trapped in the blanket, she always somehow gets them out and up. Maybe she will be a goalkeeper.

The hospital never gave us any handprints or footprints, so we decided to get some on our own.

Here she is...it took a long time to get a picture where Addie actually had her eyes open and looking at the camera.
