Life as I knew it is over!

Addie finally fully figured out how to roll! For the past few weeks, she seems like she has been trying to get from her back to her belly, but she always got stuck on her arm. She was getting closer and closer until yesterday she did it! It is pretty funny when she rolls. Addie throws her feet straight up in the air, then puts all her energy into forcing her entire body over. That allows her to roll over her little arm and onto her belly. As soon as she gets on her belly, though, she starts to cry. Bob and I both thought it might take a little while for Addie to get the hang of rolling over, even after she did it once. But, that is not the case at all. Addie rolled for the first time around dinner time, then that evening was doing it constantly. Bob was working outside and I was just trying to empty the dishwasher. Normally, Addie plays very well by herself on her blanket, but that is over. In the time I was trying to put the silverware away, I had to go roll Addie back over to her back 3 times! So, today's goal is to teach Addie how to roll from her belly to her back-does anyone have any suggestions on how to teach her that? I assume I need to put her on her belly a lot, but every time I do that, she just wants to kick her legs and wave her arms as she eats the blanket or screams. So, I am up for suggestions. Enjoy the video!

  1. Yes, yes it is! Good times, though. :) I have no suggestions about teaching her belly to back... in my experience, it happens when they get mad enough to MAKE it happen. hehe :) You're such a good mommy! :)
